The Teutoburg Forest is a high mountain range in Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia. The Teutoburg Forest is known by the Battle of Teutoburg Forest between Romans and Germans in 9 AD. Probably the final stages of the battle took place in northwest, at Kalkriese,close to city of Osnabrück.
