Franconia is in present time a wine region in the federal state of Bavaria.

Location

Franconia covers most of the Bavarian administrative districts of Lower Franconia, Upper and Central Franconia, the community Pyrbaum, large parts of the district of Eichstätt, the districts of southern Thuringia, part of the district of Fulda and the region Tauberfranken and Hohenlohe-Franken in Baden-Württemberg.
