Castle in Schwetzingen

Location

Schwetzingen is a city in northwest Baden-Württemberg. It is one of the five largest cities in the county Rhein-Neckar-Kreises. Schwetzingen is located in the metropolitan region Rhine-Neckar in the Upper Rhine Valley, east of the Rhine and west of the mountains of the Odenwald.

Castle

The most attractive point of interest is the castle Schwetzinger and especially its internationally renowned Palace garden. Hundreds of thousands of people visit annually the 72-hectare large complex of palace gardens. The former Court Theatre in chateau was built in 1752 by Nicolas de Pigage.
