The natural healing spa Slatinice is the oldest known spa in Moravia. Natural sulphurous water containing hypotonic hydrogen sulphide from local mineral springs is well suited especially for curing locomotive apparatus diseases. The spa is situated in the western part of the Olomouc region about 15 km far from the town of Olomouc in the very heart of the Haná lowland, right by the Velký Kosíř Mountain. It welcomes its guests with a quiet atmosphere and beautifull natural surroundings.The Slatinice curative procedures afford limb of motion chronic diseases highly successful treatment, especially the treatment after big joints operation. The hydrogen sulphide bath with temperature of 35 - 38°C, in connection with another procedure of classical and up-to-date medical science are the basis for such a healing. Balneotherapy as well as massages, different ways of electrotherapy, ultrasound, light therapy, pulse magnetotherapy, parafin and mud wrappings and dry carbonic baths are used as the common means of treatment. High emphasis is on physiotherapy as well. Within the spa you can find and use an outdoor and indoor swimming-pool with curative water, fitness center, gym, library, mountain bike rental service, outdoor chess, russian skittles or petanque. There are also great conditions for hiking or biking in the nearby area. Different cultural events, especially concerts and dancing parties are held regularly during the year. The spa house features 20 double rooms equipped with toilet, shower, TV, radio, and telephone. 16 rooms have a balcony. The services include: 24 hour reception desk, small cafe bar in the lobby, and summer terrace. Guarded parking and garage can be used by guests as well.
